Dear Rebecca,
Thank you for your letter of 25th June, enclosing my receipt.
You may be surprised to receive a letter from me – but I just wanted you/your company to know how you had literally changed my life!!
I am 85 an in poor health, and over the last few weeks and months I had felt increasingly persecuted by unwanted telephone calls – mainly from call centers overseas. I was receiving up to a dozen such calls every day between 9.00am and 9.00pm & latterly it was clear that the callers also had my home address.
I contacted the Telephone Preference Service and registered with them, but it made no difference.
You say in your letter it may take up to 28 days for your service to be fully effective. I rang you in desperation last Friday morning; I only received two calls the rest of that day, and I think I may have had a couple more since then (in six days). I cannot tell you what a relief it is, and I am already feeling better in myself as I can relax and feel no longer harassed.
I just wanted you to know how important your job is to people like me – thank you!!
